Our volunteers and I say thank you to everyone who has served or is serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Thank you for representing our country. We celebrate and honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of the country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for all the values we hold dear.

I had an incredible breakfast meeting this morning with one of our active duty military service members here in West Baltimore. I learned more about the challenges and opportunities of active-duty service in Maryland.

Our campaign is committed to identifying additional policies that Maryland can embrace to better support military families. We can’t wait to share more as we talk to more people.

Please email me back at china@chinaterrell.com with your ideas and experiences as we continue to build out our platform for military families.

Today, I’m thinking in particular of my great uncles—my Uncle Eddie and especially my Uncle Jack, whom we lost this year. They were both Marines, who served in Vietnam.

And in case you were wondering, I get my height (I’m 6’1″) from my uncles—they were as giant in courage and love as they were in stature.
